Look at this awesome house! Definitely not what I would expect to come across in the woods but, hey, I’d stay there! Love, love all the windows in the front! Hopefully they’re facing a lake! Can you imagine that view? …. Do you like this house?
Good Morning Everyone!
Happy Saturday! 🙂 I love weekends! Especially when I wake up and there is sun shining. It’s motivational and makes me want to get the day goin’! Regardless of what I have to do on any given day, my day usually starts in the kitchen. Making coffee, breakfast, lunch, ect. Beyond that, a kitchen can be a focal point of your home – so why not make it beautiful and inviting?!
Tile back splashes are great way to add a decorative, eye catching, “Pop!”, to your kitchen! I absolutely love tile. There are so many shapes, sizes and designs to choose from to make a fun and rewarding change to your kitchen! Even though this is a simple change, it may be an attention hog, so search around and find what you like. After all, your new tile back splash will change the mood of your kitchen. (For the better of course!) You may acquire some more house guests, too! 🙂
The internet is a great tool to research colors, designs and sizes that will go well with your kitchen. I also like visiting the Home Depot or other home stores and warehouses to see things in real life, before making any decisions or purchases. (I always say that if you have the opportunity to see it before your buy it – do it!) There are also the DIY (Do It Yourself), sites and guides online – opt for a reputable source such as Home Depot or DIY Network, or if you know of any?? Be sure to do your research if you are going to do this yourself. The right process is key. Either way, if you do this yourself, or hire help, don’t hesitate to obtain quotes. Remember, the cost of tiles can vary, which gives you options and wiggle room. Another thing to consider, is that this tiled area does not need to be the back splash for your whole kitchen. Maybe you just want to add a tile back splash behind your stove? There are different options and ways to add this decor into your kitchen. You don’t have to brake the bank to implement this change. You get to choose!
Another point to consider is that doing this remodel right, can add value! (Uh, heck yes!) My goodness! So many options! What are you visualizing? What is going to look best in your kitchen? I want to know!! So let me hear about it 🙂
Thanks for reading ladies and gents! Talk to you soon! 🙂
Vacation is going great!! I’m enjoying beautiful Kentucky, Tennessee & Indiana. Yesterday I enjoyed an afternoon at the St. Mathews mall here in Kentucky and I just have to share what I found! For those of you who saw my earlier post about mason jars + flowers, ( if you haven’t, please see my blog), I posted about places to find mason jars. Well, when I was in the Pottery Barn, I stumbled across these mason-like, perfect for holding flowers, jars! Even better, I found them on the Pottery Barn website for just $6 a piece! A better deal than in store. (search: mason hanging jar)… Well, just has to share!! Stock up everyone! Summer is just around the corner and these are sure to spruce up your space whether you put them on your table tops or hang them from a garden metal hanger. Remember, these have multiple uses! You can put bouquets in them, candles, sand & seashells, ect.! What an incredible way to economically add some flare! I would love to hear your thoughts on this!! Happy Decorating! 🙂
Let me know how it goes for you! 🙂
It’s off to Kentucky for me, tomorrow! I can’t think of a more suiting post than a big, beautiful, brick, southern style home!! This one tops the cake! It’s gorgeous! The gray brick, black shutters and white trim. Mm! I LOVE IT!! (have you caught on the I love black, grey and white? 🙂 ) Another wonderful feature about this home is the chimney tops! So detailed and unique. Definitely adds even more charming character to this house.
What do you see about this house that catches your eye?
There is just so much going on here that I LOVE!! This wooden ‘upscale picnic’ table is gorgeous! The color and rustic details go so well with the theme. The chairs are so simple but soooo great! The suds around the base are a fabulous accent. Another thing I really like about this room is the white board around the window and brown wooden doors. Mmm! Can’t say enough about this one. What do think? 🙂
